Appreciate the feedback on inexpensive laptops -- the one I was scoping out has four times as much ram & a better video card than what I'm presently on, so maybe it'll work... I'm still on the fence about it. Because if I'm already charging something, maybe I should just get something *nicer* - lol. That would be a much sturdier desktop fer sure.

We shall see... I think whether I can get the old box to work again or not, it's time for me to make the decision to invest in something better. (And I should double check with Best Buy and see if my store cc with them even works anymore. I've not used it in years.)

Oh, the suckage! So weary of so many of us having to be so weary. 2010 *has* to get better!

So one word of warning: I have a "cheap" laptop, a Dell, that wasn't that cheap or even bottom of the line, but honestly it can't handle streaming one cam AND keeping up with chat at the same time so I'd be wary about buying anything too inexpensive or it might not do what you need it to.
